Pygmy Woman
by Will Oldham...

I looked in the mirror and I wasn't there. Oh, man, double-take city! But then I remembered that I wasn't tall enough to see the mirror. It's the ditch I dug. I dug ditches all around my hut so I could compare myself with the Pygmies. *(points to ditch.)* I, of course, didn't tell my fellow Amazons that. I told them that I had a vision, in a dream, that there was treasure buried under my hut. But I knew that I had to know what it was like to be a Pygmy before I... It's against my culture, and my tribe rules for that matter, but Agunda is so...*(acts lovelost.)* dashing and dapper that I know our differences in size doesn't matter. We are starcrossed lovers, I know, but somehow I believe our destinies are intertwined. We were pre-chosen as mates by the fates...oh dear, a rhyme! You don't understand though. You've never kissed a Pygmy. Their little round noses and cute little knees. But, my, are they strong. And Agunda has such a deep, bellowing voice. You just can't help but...uh...look up to him. But mother would have me beheaded if she knew I was going to marry him. I have to pick him up to kiss him, but he's not very heavy. He's... beautiful in every sense of the word. Oh man, do I want his body. I know I can trust you, but if I can't, I guess I'll be exiled anyway. So, I figure, I might as well give it a shot, because my heart is overflowing with my feelings for little Agunda...oh, girl, I know I shouldn't call him little, but he is so cute. I knew I had to tell someone *(looks about to make sure she's not being spied upon.)* that we're eloping by zebra at midnight on Saturday, and if I couldn't trust you, wel, who could I trust?
